An entrepreneur and community leader, Christine Messina has owned and operated The Candy Jar in Austin, Texas, since 2013. She designed the store as a place where guests can treat themselves and enjoy special moments with loved ones. Christine Messina has helped local residents and guests to enjoy holidays with personalized treats for Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, and other occasions, while also offering a variety of candies as everyday indulgences.

Ms. Messina maintains The Candy Store's diverse inventory of sweets, which includes locally made artisan chocolate bars as well as 54 varieties of salt water taffy. This diverse selection, combined with the store's elegant yet playful ambiance, has led to nationwide media attention. Presented as part of the Food Network Magazine's The Great American Candy Shop, The Candy Jar has also received the attention of Out and About, Austin Tidbits, and other listings of local destinations.

Christine Messina leads The Candy Store alongside her brother-in-law, who oversees daily operations. She remains active in the community on a personal level as well, being a regular supporter of such organizations as the Austin Children's Shelter and St. Gabriel's Catholic School.
